How long does the DEA course take?+
The classroom course is 5 days, plus your own pace for the portfolio (typically 2–4 weeks).
Do I need prior experience?+
No prior experience required. You need good literacy/numeracy and basic IT skills.
Can I pay in instalments?+

Is the qualification recognised in the UK?+
Yes. Our courses are City & Guilds approved and recognised by all UK accreditation schemes.
What is the difference between Classroom, Online Live and Self-Study?+
Classroom is taught in person in Luton. Online Live is delivered via Microsoft Teams with a tutor. Self-Study (Start/Stop) is fully self-paced via our learning portal with tutor support on demand.
Do you offer tutor support after the course?+
Yes — lifetime tutor support is included for all our qualifications.
What if I fail an assignment?+
We offer a 100% pass guarantee with free re-sits and additional tutor support until you pass.
How do I become a working Energy Assessor after the course?+
We guide you through joining an accreditation scheme (Elmhurst, Stroma, etc.) and producing your first paid EPCs.
Are the Retrofit Assessor courses also City & Guilds approved?+
Yes — both Level 2 and Level 4 Retrofit Assessor qualifications are City & Guilds approved.
Can I claim my CPD hours from your modules?+
Yes. Each CPD module includes a certificate of completion you can submit to your accreditation scheme.
